
(Patria) - Wreaths were laid at the monument to the killed and a mass was held in Trusina near Konjic to mark the 33rd anniversary of the war crime.
The crime occurred in the morning hours of April 16, 1993, when members of the special purpose unit of the Army of RBiH "Zulfikar" entered the village, killing 22 people on that occasion, including 15 Croat civilians and four soldiers of the HVO.
The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina sentenced five individuals, members of the Army of RBiH military unit "Zulfikar", to a total of 55 and a half years in prison for the crimes in Trusina.
For the crime in Trusina, Edin Džeko was finally convicted to 13 years, Rasema Handanović to five, Mensur Memić to ten, Nedžad Hodžić to 12, and Nihad Bojadžić to 15 years in prison by the Court of BiH, while Dževad Salčin and Senad Hakalović were acquitted.
Zulfikar Ališpago was also charged with this crime, but the proceedings against him were separated in 2014 due to his health condition.
