Session of the Sarajevo Canton Assembly Underway

The session of the KS Assembly began today after 11 AM, with three items on the agenda. All 35 deputies are attending the session, reports the BH News Agency Patria.

Agenda:

- Election of delegates to the House of Peoples of the FBiH Parliament
- Constitution of the peoples' clubs and the club of Others in the Assembly of Sarajevo Canton
- Confirmation of the proposed candidates for the election of the Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the Assembly of Sarajevo Canton.

Elmedin Konaković stated that they can begin the process of electing delegates. Deputies Pleho, Smajić, and Bjelak, whose candidacies were rejected by the Central Election Commission (CEC) for delegates to the House of Peoples of the FBiH Parliament, cannot be elected, but it is still unclear whether they can participate in the election of delegates at all. The same applies to Sabina Ćudić from Our Party.

We remind you that KS is the only canton that does not have delegates to the House of Peoples of the FBiH Parliament.

A debate arose in the KS Assembly regarding delegates whom the CEC prohibited from being elected to the House of Peoples of the FBiH Parliament, specifically whether they can vote and be elected to the leadership of the SKS at all.

With 20 votes in favor, two against, 10 abstentions, and 3 not voting, the deputies adopted the conclusion of MP Mirsad Pindžo (DF), which allows Pleho and others to remain in the Clubs as they declared themselves, and to vote for the election of delegates, but not to be elected to the Assembly leadership.

The deputies also voted for delegates to the House of Peoples of the FBiH Parliament. After which, a 30-minute break was announced.
