Modernisation of the Zenica – Lašva road underway, opening of the first extra-urban section of GGM in the coming days

(Patria) - With the laying of asphalt, work on the project "Rehabilitation of the
regional road R445 Zenica – Lašva", with a total length of 700 metres, has been completed.

The value of the work carried out within the agreed deadline by the company "Špic-
beton" d.o.o. Zenica amounts to 159,120 KM, and the funds were secured in the
budget of the Zenica-Doboj Canton.

- The contract was executed in accordance with the project and technical documentation and on time, and we are particularly satisfied that the contractor has quality solved the problem at the location where, due to insufficient height, traffic for buses and larger trucks was previously impossible under the underpass.

Now this is a completely new, quality road that will facilitate daily movement for the residents of Lašva and other settlements on this route - stated
Adnan Šabani, Minister for Spatial Planning, Transport and Communications and Environmental Protection of ZDC.

On the Zenica – Lašva route, three projects of rehabilitation and reconstruction are currently being implemented, for which the Government and the Ministry for Spatial Planning, Transport and Communications and Environmental Protection of the Zenica-Doboj Canton have secured 1.8 million KM in 2025.

- In addition to the project completed yesterday at the entrance to Lašva, work on the rehabilitation of this road on the section from the Drivuša roundabout to the company Almy Metalno has been ongoing for about 15 days. 656,550.18 KM has been secured from the canton budget, and the work is being carried out by the operational staff of the companies Almy Transport d.o.o. and Komgrad – Ze d.o.o., and we believe that the job will be completed on time and to the satisfaction of a large number of residents of the so-called Lašva basin and the business entities operating here – said Adnan Šabani.

The cantonal Minister for Spatial Planning, Transport and Communications and Environmental Protection announced that in the next few days, work will be completed on

the first extra-urban section of GGM Zenica, which is an integral part of the regional road Zenica – Lašva, and that work will simultaneously begin on the second section, up to the turn-off for Lukovo Polje. This job, worth 1.1 million KM, will be carried out by a consortium of contractors led by the company "Almy Transport" d.o.o..
