At least five people, including four children, died in a strong storm that hit the Tetovo region in northwestern Macedonia yesterday, and nine were injured, reports the BH news agency Patria.
As reported by the Macedonian agency MINA, a 10-year-old child died in the flood, and the lifeless body of a 13-year-old girl was brought to the Tetovo hospital, most likely from the village of Shipkovica.
An 80-year-old man also died in the floods.
Macedonian Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski said that the situation is very serious and a Government session has been scheduled in Skopje to consider measures and assistance for those affected by this disaster.
