Over 1,160 new jobs opened in Tešanj in one year

1,167 new jobs have been opened in the area of Tešanj in the past 12 months alone, writes the BH News Agency Patria.

According to data from the Employment Service of the Zenica-Doboj Canton, in the first 10 months of 2014, the number of employed people in Tešanj rose to 10,353, which is 885 more than at the beginning of 2014. At the same time, there was a decrease in the list of unemployed at the Tešanj Employment Bureau, Patria reports.

The Municipality of Tešanj has one of the fastest-growing economies in BiH. Some of the largest BiH companies are located in this municipality in central Bosnia, such as the AS Group - a BiH food giant, and the headquarters of the largest domestic oil company, HIFA group. Among the 100 largest companies in Bosnia and Herzegovina by turnover, exports, and investments, as selected by Poslovne novine for last year, as many as 23 companies are from Tešanj.

Companies from Tešanj export to 60 countries on all continents, and in the first ten months of last year, as much as 350 million KM was exported.

Germany leads with 116 million KM, followed by Italy with 58.7 million KM, Slovenia with 30.3 million KM, Austria with 25.2 million KM, Croatia with 21.6 million KM, and the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Slovakia, Serbia, and Turkey, while Russia is in 11th place and China in 20th.
