Forums and book promotion 'Genocidal Intent Bratunac 1992' by author Ramiz Salkić held in Switzerland

(Patria) - A forum and promotion of the book "Genocidal Intent Bratunac 1992" by author Ramiz Salkić was held in the Islamic Community of Bosniaks in Switzerland in the cities of Neuchâtel and Yverdon.

In addition to the author, participants included Elvir-ef. Hodžić, the chief imam of the Bratunac Majlis, and Admir-ef. Velić, the president of the Majlis.

In his address to those present, Salkić emphasized that there are two key questions Bosniaks need to answer in the coming period - active participation in the implementation of the Law on Survey and Cadastre in the RS entity, and stronger and more active participation in electoral processes in Bosnia and Herzegovina - Despite the serious crimes and genocide against Bosniaks of Bratunac, Podrinje, Prijedor, Semberija, and eastern Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bosniaks have a strong biological potential to eliminate part of the consequences of persecution, crimes, and genocide.

There are two key questions Bosniaks need to answer in the coming period - active participation in the implementation of the Law on Survey and Cadastre in the RS entity, and stronger and more active participation in electoral processes in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

These two processes, if we are active participants, provide us with the opportunity to preserve our land after aggression and persecution, but also to strengthen our influence on decision-making in parliaments from the local to the state level of government.

It is our historical obligation to prevent, through our active participation in the implementation of the Law on Survey and Cadastre, the seizure of our property, attempts of which we witness daily in the RS entity.

Also, through our active attitude and participation in electoral processes, we demonstrate our commitment to our cities from which we were forcibly expelled during the aggression against the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina from 1992 to 1995.

Therefore, it is of immense importance to use the time until July 23 to register to vote in the upcoming local elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Local parliaments are places where decisions are made that regulate key issues for the functioning of the local community and our rights within it. Your participation eases the position of your neighbors and friends who have decided to return and live on their hearths after the armed persecution. Anyone who neglects these two issues and obligations regarding them directly contributes to the realization of the plans held by the authorities of the RS entity, which are in line with those glorified by the perpetrators of crimes and genocide against our people.

Therefore, I call on you to contribute, through your active approach to these important processes, to the elimination of the consequences of genocide and the halting of the separatist policy advocated and implemented by the authorities of the RS entity in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

None of us who care about our hearths and our homeland of Bosnia and Herzegovina has the right to give up in peace and disappointment, but rather has the obligation to continue persistent struggle in various ways to preserve our hearths and our homeland of Bosnia and Herzegovina - said Salkić.
