First Hafiz Ceremony in Žepče after World War II on Saturday

(Patria) - The Islamic Community Council of Žepče is organizing a Hafiz ceremony for Hafiz Eldin Čolić on Saturday, June 22nd, after the afternoon prayer in the Ferhat-paša Mosque.

It is important to emphasize that this is the first Hafiz ceremony in the city of Žepče after World War II.

- As far as we know, this is the first Hafiz ceremony since World War II, which speaks volumes about the importance of this event, both for Žepče and its community, as well as for the entire Islamic Community.

Hafiz Eldin Čolić was born on February 28, 2008, in Zenica. He completed elementary school in Žepče. He attended mekteb (religious education) in the Žepče community for nine years.

His first muallim (teacher) was Irdin-ef. Tutnjić, and then Benjamin-ef. Hodžić, who is also his first muhafiz (guardian/memorizer). In mekteb, he stood out for his good behavior and excellent learning.

From the age of ten, he began intensively memorizing the Quran under the guidance of muhafiz Hafiz Mustafa-ef. Efendić.

He enrolled in the Behram-begova Madrasa in Tuzla.
