Commemoration of the 77th anniversary of the Igman March on Saturday

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Organized by the Sarajevo Cantonal SABNOR, the 77th anniversary of the "Igman March", carried out by partisans, fighters of the First Proletarian Brigade of NOVJ on 26.01.1942, will be commemorated tomorrow.

- This event, equal to an ancient legend, entered the history of the National Liberation War (NOB) as an example of unlimited human capabilities driven by motivation, goal, commitment, idea, patriotism - it is stated in the statement from SABNOR.

Participants of the gathering at Veliko Polje on Igman will recall this historical event, which was carried out by Tito's partisans in impossible conditions. Organizers expect around 15,000 anti-fascists from eight countries of the region.

Citizens of Sarajevo, veteran associations, and people of goodwill are also invited to come to Igman tomorrow.
