Four returnee children brutally beaten and tortured in Stolac

(Patria) - Last night in Stolac, four returnee children were beaten.

This news was announced by Federal Minister Nerin Dizdar.

"Unknown perpetrators with several cars ambushed them at the entrance to Stolac on their way back from a match, in the manner of the most hardened bandits. They then brutally beat and tortured them," Dizdar stated.

"Such violence must be punished urgently and most severely.

Support for the young men and their families must be unconditional, resolute and clear, as must be the response of the police and judiciary. For too long, over 25 years when it comes to attacks on returnees, we have been hearing phrases about 'ongoing investigations' and 'unknown perpetrators'.

Enough is enough.

Violence against returnees must be sanctioned immediately. I expect a response from the Ministry of Interior and the Prosecutor's Office, a swift investigation, the apprehension and conviction of the criminals - nothing less. The circle of possible perpetrators is not particularly large.

From all actors of the social order, from the local to the state level, I expect unified, unambiguous support for returnees. The Ministry will do everything within its competence for these young men and their families," Dizdar said.
