On Wednesday, the trial of Dodik and Lukić continues before the Court of BiH

(Patria) - At the Court of BiH on Wednesday, June 19, the trial of the President of the RS, Milorad Dodik, and the acting director of the Official Gazette of the RS, Miloš Lukić, will continue due to non-implementation of the decisions of the High Representative.

The last trial was held on May 22, when the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina presented material evidence.

The Court of BiH rejected an earlier request by Dodik's defense to summon High Representative Christian Schmidt as a witness.

Judge Sena Uzunović stated that the proposal of the Defense was accepted for Srebrenka Golić, the Chairwoman of the RS Council of Peoples, and Jelena Pajić-Baštinac, Dodik's legal advisor, to be heard as witnesses. The presentation of material evidence was accepted, including a part of the document from the Bonn Conference related to the High Representative.

Dodik's lawyer Goran Bubić again called on the Prosecutor's Office of BiH to drop the indictment and thus end this case.

The defense is based on the claim that Schmidt is a "foreigner" and not an elected High Representative.

Dodik and Lukić are accused that from July 1 to July 9, 2023, in Banja Luka, aware and knowing that High Representative Christian Schmidt had made a decision preventing the entry into force of the Law on Non-Application of Decisions of the Constitutional Court of BiH from July 1 of the same year, as well as a decision preventing the entry into force of the Law on Amendments to the Law on Publishing Laws and Other Regulations of the RS, they undertook actions with the aim of continuing the legislative process, not applying and not implementing the decisions of the High Representative.
