Three Konzum stores targeted by armed robbers on Wednesday

Yesterday, two robberies were carried out at Konzum markets, while a third attempt led to the arrest of B.A., born in 1991, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

The first robbery occurred at 14:15 on Rudolfa Rude Tomića Street, Novi Grad Sarajevo municipality, carried out by two unknown persons.

- On that occasion, masked unknown persons, threatening with a pistol and a knife, stole a certain amount of money, as well as a bag containing glasses and keys belonging to customer H.N. from Sarajevo, and then fled in an unknown direction.

The second robbery occurred at 18:35 on Senada Mandića Dende Street, Novi Grad Sarajevo municipality, carried out by an unknown person.

- On that occasion, a masked unknown person, threatening with a pistol, stole a certain amount of money and then fled in an unknown direction - stated the Ministry of Interior of the Sarajevo Canton. According to our information, the thieves literally emptied the cash register, leaving not a single fening.

The attempted third robbery occurred last night after 19:00 when B.A. was caught in the act of committing the criminal offense of robbery on Topal Osman Paše Street, Novo Sarajevo municipality. He was arrested at 19:40.

- During a search, a pistol of the brand “CZ”, cal. 7.65 mm, with a magazine and 6 rounds of the same caliber, was found and seized from him.

- The prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office in Sarajevo was informed of the above, and B.A. was handed over to the Department for Detention of Persons Deprived of Liberty of the Ministry of Interior of the Sarajevo Canton. Police officers continue to work on clarifying and documenting the criminal activities of the said person.
