Honorary Consulate of BiH opened in Senec near Bratislava

SLOVAKIA, (Patria) - On September 5, 2019, the first day of his official visit to the Slovak Republic, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH Igor Crnadak participated in the ceremony of opening the Honorary Consulate of BiH in Senec near Bratislava. During his address at the ceremony, Minister Crnadak emphasized that the first Honorary Consulate of BiH in the Slovak Republic is a new step towards even better relations with that country, which is a very important European friend and partner of BiH, understands our internal relations well, and is always on the side of faster progress of BiH on its European path.

The Minister expressed hope that the Honorary Consulate will particularly contribute to strengthening economic ties between the two countries, creating conditions for new investments in BiH, and increasing foreign trade exchange. He wished success to the Honorary Consulate and invited the consulate to be functional in connecting the Slovak Republic with BiH in the fields of culture, sports, art, and science.

Minister Crnadak expressed his expectation that as many people as possible from all parts of BiH, both from Republika Srpska and FBiH, will be included in the activities of the Honorary Consulate, in order to make the rapprochement between the Slovak Republic and BiH as effective and long-lasting as possible.

The ceremony of the official opening of the Honorary Consulate of BiH in the Slovak Republic was also attended by the Slovak Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, Miroslav Lajčák.

On the second day of the official visit to the Slovak Republic, a working meeting is scheduled with Minister Lajčák at the Slovak Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Bratislava, who is currently also serving as the Chairman-in-Office of the OSCE.
