Council of Ministers of BiH meets in Sarajevo: Agenda without a single law, but with appointments

(Patria) - A session of the Council of Ministers of BiH will be held today in the BiH institutions building in Sarajevo, starting at 10 AM. The agenda will not include any laws, but it will include decisions on appointments.

Thus, at the proposal of the BiH Ministry of Security, the Decision on the appointment of members of the Joint Steering Committee for lawful interception of telecommunications and the method of carrying out activities will be amended.

Three members of this committee were appointed in 2021 for a four-year term. It consists of one representative each from the Ministry of Security, SIPA, and OSA.

At the proposal of the same Ministry, the Decision on the formation and appointment of members of the Commission for Combating Drug Abuse will be supplemented.

The agenda also includes the Proposal of the Decision on the minimum amount of funds required for the subsistence of foreigners during their intended stay in Bosnia and Herzegovina for 2024, proposed by the BiH Ministry of Security.

At the proposal of the BiH Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees, the Decision on the appointment of members of the Management Board of the Srebrenica-Potočari Memorial Center – Memorial and Cemetery for the Victims of the 1995 Genocide will be amended.

Given that there was no prior agreement on BiH's participation in the Venice Biennale, this session will include information on the proposal for Bosnia and Herzegovina's participation in the 60th Venice Biennale of Contemporary Art in 2024, in a new text, at the proposal of the BiH Ministry of Civil Affairs.

The Council of Ministers of BiH will also consider information in the area of migration, and the state of education and inclusive education.
