Traditional "Winter Magic" Event Opens in Sarajevo

(Patria) - The traditional "Winter Magic 2025/2026" event, which once again brings joy, fun, and a unique winter atmosphere to the center of Sarajevo this winter, was ceremonially opened tonight in the "Mirza Delibašić" Hall of the Skenderija Center.

A rich program awaits visitors on 1,800m² of ice surface - ice skating, musical entertainment, sports activities, and numerous fun events for children, youth, and adults.

The program is designed to provide all visitors with an opportunity to enjoy winter delights and a unique atmosphere in the heart of the city.

At the opening of the event, attendees were welcomed by the Prime Minister of Sarajevo Canton Nihad Uk, the Mayor of Sarajevo Samir Avdić, the Minister of Culture and Sports of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Sanja Vlaisavljević, and the Director of KJP Centar Skenderija Šenaj Avdić.

- During the previous season, approximately 70,000 visitors attended Winter Magic at Skenderija, including ice rink users, participants and audiences of sports competitions and training sessions, as well as visitors to numerous cultural and entertainment programs.

Such exceptional attendance clearly confirms the festival's potential to grow into the central winter event in Sarajevo. As in previous years, the support of the KS Government for quality and recognizable projects at the Skenderija Center will not be lacking - said Prime Minister Uk.
