SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Bosnia and Herzegovina Mahmoud Heidari hosted a formal reception in Sarajevo tonight on the occasion of the country's National Day.
The anniversary of the Islamic Revolution is also celebrated on the same day. Ambassador Heidari said that Iran is a country that builds civilization and a stable country, proud to have been a pioneer in the fight against terrorism and radicalism.
He recalled that Iran was among the first countries to recognize the independence of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and that it stood by the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the most difficult circumstances. He emphasized that Iran supports peace and stability in the Western Balkans.
In his address to guests from the political, cultural, and religious life in BiH, Ambassador Heidari expressed the support of the Islamic Republic of Iran for the territorial integrity and state sovereignty of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and for the sincere and peaceful coexistence of all peoples in Bosnia and Herzegovina, writes Patria agency.
