Conference of Chiefs of Mission of U.S. Embassies in the Region Held in Sarajevo

From September 17 to 19, the U.S. Embassy in Sarajevo will host the annual conference of the Chiefs of Mission of U.S. Embassies in the region. U.S. ambassadors to Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, and Slovenia will participate in the conference, reports Patria agency.

During the conference, ambassadors will internally discuss common themes and issues faced by U.S. missions in the region, including Euro-Atlantic integration, promotion of regional cooperation, economic growth and investments, strengthening the rule of law, and regional security.

Ambassadors will also meet with representatives of BiH authorities to learn about the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In addition to the aforementioned ambassadors, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Hoyt Yee will also be in Sarajevo during this period. He will also participate in the conference and hold meetings with local leaders and representatives of the international community.
