Sarajevo hosts meeting on urgent implementation of Law on Protection from Family Violence

(Patria) - The OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina is organizing a meeting in Sarajevo today on key steps for the urgent implementation of the Law on Protection from Family Violence and Violence against Women in FBiH.

The meeting will be attended by representatives of the federal ministries of justice, internal affairs, labor and social policy, and health, representatives of the competent commissions of the FBiH Parliament, and other relevant institutions for the implementation of this law.

The aim of the meeting is to agree on concrete steps to accelerate the implementation of the Law, including the adoption of relevant bylaws, capacity building for professionals, coordination of key actors, and the engagement of the FBiH Parliament in this area.
