Beekeeping and beekeeping equipment fair “Bee-fest” opened in Sarajevo

SARAJevo, (Patria) - The beekeeping and beekeeping equipment fair “Bee-fest” will be held in Sarajevo from September 5 to 9 at the Square of Liberation – Alija Izetbegović.

The organizers emphasized that this year's Bee-fest is another opportunity to promote BiH honey production, which has received the highest ratings from the international expert community.

Beekeeping in Bosnia and Herzegovina has great potential, especially considering the quality of honey and the employment potential in less developed, rural areas.

During the event, there will be tastings, presentations of specific types of honey and educational sessions, as well as a sales exhibition. In the coming days, Organic Honey Day, Medoonica (Honey Workshop), and beekeeper training programs are planned.

At the fair, visitors will have the opportunity to purchase varietal honeys, royal jelly, propolis, pollen, products based on bee products and medicinal herbs, natural cosmetics, as well as natural juices, jams, preserves, and other traditional products.

The organization of this year's fair was supported by the Municipality of Centar Sarajevo, the Municipality of Stari Grad Sarajevo, the Government of Sarajevo Canton, the Government of the Federation of BiH, and Lutrija BiH.
