High-Level Political Forum on BiH's European Integration Held in Sarajevo

(Patria) - Leadership members and chairs of caucuses of deputies and delegates of both houses of the Parliamentary Assembly (PA) of BiH participated today in Sarajevo in the third High-Level Political Forum on European Integration of BiH.

The Forum was jointly chaired by the Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of BiH Borjana Krišto and the European Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Oliver Varhelyi.

The meeting was attended by the Speaker of the House of Peoples Kemal Ademović, Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples Dragan Čović, Deputy Speakers of the House of Representatives Denis Zvizdić and Marinko Čavara, and on behalf of the Speaker of the House of Representatives Nebojša Radmanović - Deputy Miroslav Vujičić.

The Forum was also attended by the Chairs and Deputy Chairs of the caucuses of delegates in the House of Peoples Sredoje Nović, Marina Pendeš and Safet Softić, Chairs of the caucuses of deputies in the House of Representatives Saša Magazinović, Predrag Kožul, Nihad Omerović, Sabina Ćudić, Čedomir Stojanović and Šerif Špago, as well as the prime ministers of entities and cantons, and the mayor of Brčko District.

During the Forum, discussions were held on the implementation of activities related to the further process of European integration of BiH, with an emphasis on fulfilling the key priorities from the European Commission's Opinion, and following the decision of the Council of the EU to open membership negotiations of BiH with the EU.

The previous two high-level political forums on BiH's European integration were held in mid-May 2023 in Sarajevo and in early December 2023 in Brussels.
