
(Patria) - A scientific conference on the topic "Independence Day of Bosnia and Herzegovina within thirty years of peace implementation" will be held in Sarajevo today.
This event, on the occasion of March 1, Independence Day of BiH, is organized by the Faculty of Criminalistics, Criminology and Security Studies of the University of Sarajevo, in cooperation with the departments of social and humanistic sciences of the Academy of Sciences and Arts of BiH.
The conference will bring together prominent names from the academic and wider social community, and speakers will include: academician Mirko Pejanović, Prof. Dr. Lada Sadiković, corresponding member of ANU BiH Mile Babić, Prof. Dr. Edina Bećirević, corresponding member of ANU BiH Husnija Kamberović, Prof. Dr. Goran Kovačević, Prof. Dr. Ivo Komšić, Strajo Krsmanović, Jakob Finci, Monsignor Franjo Topić, Prof. Dr. Edita Hasković, Miro Lazović and numerous other participants.
All attendees will be greeted by the Rector of the University of Sarajevo, Prof. Dr. Tarik Zaimović, and the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Jasmin Ahić.
The scientific conference will be held at the premises of the Faculty of Criminalistics, Criminology and Security Studies in Sarajevo (Zmaja od Bosne 8, Amphitheater No. 2, 1st floor), starting at 10:00 AM.
A press conference is planned before the official opening of the scientific conference, i.e., at 9:30 AM at the Faculty premises.
