Press conference of the FBiH Government on the minimum wage in Sarajevo

(Patria) - A press conference on the Decision on the amount of the minimum wage for 2025 will be held today at 1:00 PM at the seat of the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sarajevo.

The media will be addressed by members of the Collegium of the FBiH Government, consisting of FBiH Prime Minister Nermin Nikšić and his deputies Toni Kraljević and Vojin Mijatović.

Also, Admir Omerbašić, authorized by the Government as the head of the Tax Administration of the Federation of BiH, will address the conference.

At the session on December 30, 10 ministers adopted a decision on the minimum wage for 2025 of 1,000 KM, which is an increase of 381 KM per worker. The business community has rebelled given that the decision was made suddenly, and it will significantly affect operations since plans for 2025 have already been finalized.

Some companies have already laid off part of their workers, some have reduced production, and the common stance of employers is that the Government should withdraw the decision, which will significantly shake the economy in the FBiH.
