Funeral prayer for Prof. Dr. Emir Solaković held in Sarajevo

(Patria) - The funeral prayer for Prof. Dr. Emir Solaković was held today at the Lav city cemetery in Sarajevo.

His family, relatives, numerous friends, colleagues, and countless admirers of his work gathered at the funeral, all with the same feeling of deep loss and gratitude.

A heavy, but respectful, silence dominated the air, testifying to the greatness of the man we are bidding farewell to.

He was a distinguished surgeon who dedicated his entire life to the health of his patients, selflessly sharing his knowledge with others, writes Hayat.ba.

Dr. Solaković is survived by his sons Sid and Sandi, daughter-in-law Nina, and grandchildren Nela-Mia, Ajdin, Soren, and Sea, to whom he undoubtedly left an indelible mark of love and inspiration.

Before the funeral prayer, the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo, the place where he spent most of his working life and left an indelible mark, paid tribute to him at a memorial service.

Numerous colleagues, friends, and students, whose knowledge he shaped and whose lives he touched, gathered to pay their last respects and remember his extraordinary contribution.

Bosnia and Herzegovina, the region... have lost not only an outstanding surgeon and educator but also a man who was an example of humanity.

Prof. Dr. Emir Solaković left behind a rich legacy, woven into the lives of saved patients, knowledge passed down to generations of doctors, and the foundations of cardiac surgery in BiH.
