Protests in Sarajevo today over the horrific murder of Inela and her son

(Patria) - On Sunday, 16 February 2025, at 12:00 PM, a peaceful protest will be held in front of the Hastahana skate park in Sarajevo, organized by the informal student group "Hoće l’ ta promjena".

The reason for the gathering is the horrific murder in Kalesija, where Emir Selimović killed his (ex) wife Inela Selimović and their 13-year-old son.

The organizers emphasize that this tragic event is yet another indicator of irregularities in the work of the relevant institutions and highlight the importance of joint action to influence the changes that everyone needs.

As part of the protest, a banner-making workshop will be organized. The organizers invite all citizens, especially students, to join the gathering and express their dissatisfaction with systemic failures in the protection of victims of violence.

"Raise your voice, do not be silent!", the organizers said.

Emir Selimović (38) is suspected of the murder, and the police are still searching for him.
