(Patria) - A research study titled "THE POLITICS OF REVISIONISM: Denial of Crimes and Genocide in Bosnia and Herzegovina 1992–2025" will be promoted in Sarajevo today.
The promotion is organized by the Institute for Research of Crimes Against Humanity and International Law of the University of Sarajevo (UNSA), and it is a new publication released in English and Bosnian.
The promotion, as part of the commemoration of the anniversary of the adoption of the UN Resolution on the International Day of Remembrance of the Genocide in Srebrenica (2024), will be held in the Ceremonial Hall of the UNSA Rectorate, starting at 2:00 PM.
The study, authored by Dr. Jasmin Medić, Dr. Hikmet Karčić, Dr. Muamer Džananović, and Dr. Elvedin Mulagić, provides a thorough analysis of the multi-decade and systemic denial of war crimes and genocide committed in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The authors address the legal, social, and political aspects of this phenomenon and offer concrete recommendations for its suppression.
The promoters of the study will be Dr. Zilha Mastalić Košuta, Dr. Merisa Karović-Babić, Prof. Dr. Amer Osmić, and Mr. Melina Borčak. The moderator of the promotion is Elvira Aganović.
An introductory address will be given by Dr. Omer Osmanović, Minister for Veterans' Affairs of Sarajevo Canton. The Ministry he heads provided support for the printing of this publication.
