Numerous events in Sarajevo marking 400 years of Hasan Kafi Pruščak's work

The event marking “400 years of Hasan Kafi Pruščak's work 1615 – 2015” will be held under the high patronage of Reis-ul-ulema Husein ef. Kavazović, on November 11, 2015, at the Gazi Husrev-beg Library starting at 11:30 AM, announced the Institute for Islamic Tradition of Bosniaks, as reported by the Bosnian news agency Patria.

The event will open with an exhibition of Manuscripts and Works of Hasan Kafi Pruščak, authored by Mr. Osman Lavić, in the lobby of the Gazi Husrev-beg Library at 11:30 AM.

Students of the Elči Ibrahim-paša Madrasa in Begova Mosque will recite the hatma-dova for the soul of Hasan Kafi at 11:45 AM.

The central part of the event is a scientific conference gathering 17 presenters, eminent scholars who have dealt with Pruščak and his scientific opus during their academic work. An integral part of the scientific conference will be the promotion of a book about Hasan Kafi, his life and work, with special emphasis on his most famous work Usulul-hikem fi nizamil-alem (Foundations of Wisdom on the Order of the World). This special edition titled Hasan Kafi Pruščak was published by the Institute for Islamic Tradition of Bosniaks in cooperation with El-Kalem, the publishing center of the Riyasat of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Finally, the event will also feature the promotion of an interactive presentation about the life of Hasan Kafi Pruščak intended for primary and secondary school students.

The event is open to the public, and all interested parties are invited to attend the celebration of this significant jubilee.

The organizers of the event are: the Directorate for Education and Science of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Institute for Islamic Tradition of Bosniaks, the Faculty of Islamic Sciences of the University of Sarajevo, and the Oriental Institute of the University of Sarajevo, writes NAP.
