33 new cases of infection in Sarajevo

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - 33 new cases of coronavirus infection have been confirmed in the Sarajevo Canton, according to the morning report of the KS Public Health Institute.

These are the results of testing 395 samples, collected in the period from September 7 to 11, 2020. Of this number of newly infected, 20 (60.60 percent) belong to family clusters and have been in self-isolation since before.

During yesterday, the recovery of 39 people was recorded, so the number of active cases of coronavirus infection has been reduced to 298.

In hospital treatment, 21 people are in the Isolation Ward of the University Clinical Center Sarajevo, most of them are vitaly stable, while two patients are on mechanical respiratory support.

Fortunately, there were no deaths, so the total number of deaths from the consequences of coronavirus infection remained 74.

According to the Institute's data, 4,256 people have been infected in the Sarajevo Canton since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, while 3,884 have recovered in the same period.

In the period from August 29 to September 12 this year, 701 self-isolation orders were issued by inspectorate decisions, based on recommendations from epidemiologists or decisions from the KS Ministry of Health.
