Nine new minibuses arriving in Sarajevo

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - In the next two months, public city transport in Sarajevo will be enriched with nine brand new minibuses.

The procurement contract was signed at the end of 2019 by the Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in BiH, Steliana Nedera, and the Minister of Transport of Sarajevo Canton, Adnan Šteta.

After tenders for the procurement of vehicles were declared unsuccessful for four years, the tender announced through UNDP on January 16, 2020, was successfully concluded. The procurement of new vehicles, which will comply with environmental standards (EURO 6), will improve transport in the hilly parts of the city, it was announced from Sarajevo Canton.

Funds for the procurement of vehicles were secured in the Sarajevo Canton budget for 2019.
