Numerous delegates and guests arriving in Sarajevo: Independent Bosnian-Herzegovinian List to be founded

The Founding Assembly of the Independent Bosnian-Herzegovinian List will be held today at 5 PM in the Unitic business center in Sarajevo. This is a new political project, one of the initiators of which is the Mayor of the Old Town Municipality, Ibrahim Hadžibajrić, along with other independent mayors and councilors, reports Patria agency.

At the Assembly, delegates from cities and municipalities across BiH will elect the party's president and Presidency in order to complete the necessary court registration.

As the Mayor of Old Town, Ibrahim Hadžibajrić, told Patria, in the coming months, work will be done on the ground from Krajina to Goražde to familiarize people with the idea that the Independent Bosnian-Herzegovinian List will offer. He emphasized that they will offer people an alternative, and if they recognize it, then the NBL will be an equal partner to other political parties in the next General Elections. 

Besides Hadžibajrić and the idea of such a political concept, there are also several independent mayors and councilors who won mandates with significant public support.

Hadžibajrić won his third mayoral term in the 2016 local elections with 10,000 votes. It is precisely this trust and the current political situation that prompted him to try to offer a different concept of political action.

- We must become the majority and openly oppose all forms of political deception and abuse of political power. The initiative we will launch will aim to initiate, lead, and implement new political action in BiH society to reconstruct and strengthen all forms of political power in accordance with the fundamental principles of the states included in the European Union – Hadžibajrić previously stated.
