Liturgy for Easter in the Cathedral Church

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Metropolitan Hrizostom of Dabar-Bosna served the holy archiepiscopal liturgy on the occasion of Easter in the Cathedral Church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Mother of God in Sarajevo.
In a short message after the liturgy, Archpriest-Stavrophor Nenad Tupeša conveyed messages of peace and prayers for the forgiveness of sins to the gathered faithful. 

"Unfortunately, we are still faced with numerous temptations and troubles, with terrorism, wars, and the taking of human lives around the globe. The cries and agony of victims reaching us at the greatest speed, through modern means of communication, wound our hearts," said Tupeša.

The message of Serbian Patriarch Irinej was also read, in which, among other things, he called on Orthodox Christians to forgive and reconcile. 

Christians today mark Easter according to the Julian calendar, a Christian holiday that symbolizes the victory of life over death, good over evil. The celebration of Easter continues within the family circle, where the cracking of colorful Easter eggs, prepared earlier, brings special joy (especially to children). The colorful egg represents the very symbolism of Easter. The egg is a symbol of the birth of life.
