(Patria) - Members of the BiH Border Police Unit for Support and Control Višegrad, in the early morning hours in Rudo, Višegrad municipality, prevented the smuggling of 56 people of Afro-Asian origin during the control of a MAN truck, with BiH license plates.
The mentioned vehicle was driven by G. S., a citizen of BiH. Due to suspicion that the criminal offense of Human Smuggling under Article 189a of the Criminal Code of BiH was committed, the prosecutor of the BiH Prosecutor's Office was informed about the mentioned event, who ordered that the mentioned driver be deprived of liberty and questioned as a suspect.
The smuggled migrants will be handed over to members of the Service for Affairs with Strangers during the day for further processing. Work on the case continues.
