RS: 69 New Cases, Five Deaths

BANJA LUKA, (Patria) - In the last 24 hours, 522 samples were tested for the SARS-CoV-2 virus in Republika Srpska, and infection was confirmed in 69 individuals.

Regarding the newly infected, seven people are from Bijeljina, six from Zvornik, five from Foča, four from Šamac, three people each from Banja Luka, Višegrad, Derventa, Doboj, Istočno Novo Sarajevo, Kozarska Dubica, Modriča, Pale, Prijedor and Teslić, two each from Gradiška, Mrkonjić Grad, Rogatica, Han Pijesak and Čelinac, and one each from Bileća, Istočna Ilidža, Kotor Varoš, Prnjavor, Sokolac, Ugljevik and Šipovo.

Four deaths were reported (Ljubinje, Petrovo, Bijeljina and Višegrad), and one person from Brčko, who had a confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infection, died at the University Clinical Centre of Republika Srpska.

In the mentioned period, 173 deaths from COVID-19 were reported to the Institute of Public Health of Republika Srpska.

The total number of hospitalized patients in Republika Srpska is 263, of which 70 are at the University Clinical Centre of Republika Srpska, and 193 are in general hospitals.

Currently, 4,442 people are under health supervision in Republika Srpska, and supervision has been completed for 43,580 people.

Since the beginning of the epidemic, from March 4 to July 31, 2020, a total of 50,873 people have been tested for the SARS-CoV-2 virus in Republika Srpska. Infection has been confirmed in 4,911 people, of whom 2,534 (51.60%) have recovered.
