In Republika Srpska, efforts are underway to complete the SANU memorandum and ethnic cleansing

The Bosniak Club in the National Assembly of Republika Srpska will ask the World Bank to halt the implementation of 15 million US dollars for the land registration project in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as these funds are being misused in Republika Srpska and used for the systematic confiscation of Bosniak property and ethnic cleansing, Mujo Hadžiomerović, a delegate in the National Assembly of RS, told the BH News Agency Patria.

For this reason, the Bosniak Club in the National Assembly of RS will hold a press conference in Banja Luka tomorrow, where they will present all the problems faced by Bosniaks in the smaller BiH entity.

- Bosniaks in Republika Srpska have had their basic human rights suppressed for years. We experience discrimination at every step, from education and employment in public institutions to the redistribution of the budget – said Hadžiomerović. He added that Bosniaks no longer want to tolerate such treatment from the authorities in RS, and that the time has come for the status of Bosniaks in this entity to change.

He believes that the final blows to Bosniaks in RS are being dealt by the adoption of the latest set of laws related to property, namely the Law on Cadastre, the Law on Amendments to the Law on Real Estate Tax, and similar laws.

- If you look at the composition of the commission for establishing the new real estate cadastre, which is currently being implemented, you will see that it does not reflect the multi-ethnic character of the population. It is clear that such commissions will work to the detriment of Bosniaks and will do everything to take away their property – says Hadžiomerović.

- The set of laws related to real estate in RS is a direct attack on ownership and property as a basic human right, which is guaranteed as such by the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Constitution of Republika Srpska, and the European Convention on Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms – explains Hadžiomerović.

The laws he is referring to, he claims, are being drafted in RS under an urgent procedure, without discussion in expert circles, and without public discussion by citizens.

- Currently, the authorities in Republika Srpska are making efforts to unilaterally mark the inter-entity demarcation line, without regard for the state border and the state commission composed of official representatives of both entities and experts in this field. It seems that the entity of Republika Srpska is above all else, it matters less that all conclusions, protocols, and agreements in this matter are being violated.
