During search of facilities in the Bihać area, SIPA seized weapons

Police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) conducted searches at two locations in Bihać.

With the aim of preventing and detecting illegal possession of weapons or explosive materials, SIPA police officers, in cooperation with police officers of the Ministry of Interior of the Una-Sana Canton, acting on an order from the Municipal Court in Bihać, conducted searches of residential facilities due to reasonable suspicion that the individuals using them had committed the criminal offense of illegal possession of weapons or explosive materials.

During the search, the following items were found and temporarily seized: one automatic rifle caliber 7.62mm, one semi-automatic rifle caliber 7.62mm, eight magazines for an automatic rifle, 165 rounds of ammunition caliber 7.62mm, a rifle grenade adapter, and weapon cleaning equipment.

As part of the operation, two individuals were deprived of their liberty.

Following criminal processing, in accordance with the decision of the acting prosecutor, a decision will be made on the further status of the deprived individuals.
