Fire near Ljubinje completely extinguished

(Patria) - The fire in the area of the villages of Poljice and Ubosko in the municipality of Ljubinje was completely extinguished this morning.

A helicopter from the RS Helicopter Service operated multiple times during the morning, and firefighters on the ground extinguished remaining hotspots.

"This morning we extinguished the fire on both flanks, the helicopter operated, and we put out what was left behind it, so we can say we have resolved everything," Ljubinje Fire Department commander Srđan Milošević told RTRS.

The helicopter also extinguished the fire in the area of the village of Ubosko near Ljubinje last night, where houses were saved from the fire, confirmed the mayor of Ljubinje, Stevo Drapić.

The fire broke out on Friday afternoon, after a lightning strike.
