Bosniak community mosque flooded in Texas floods

Hurricane Harvey which hit the Texas area in the USA has claimed at least 44 lives, and 19 people are reported missing after major floods, reports N1, agency Patria reports.

Nearly a million people had to leave their homes due to the danger of new floods.

The floods also affected residents of Houston of Bosnian origin, and a mosque was also flooded.

Namely, photos of the submerged mosque in Houston were published on the Facebook page of the Bosnian Islamic Center of Saint Louis, along with a notice that today, after the Friday prayer, all believers in the mosques of the Islamic Community of North America will be able to help the renovation of the mosque in Houston with voluntary donations.

- We ask you to respond and help us renovate this mosque of ours as soon as possible - the message reads.
