Traffic difficult in some parts of Bosnia due to snow

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - New snowfall that hit some parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina overnight has made traffic difficult and slower, especially on sections in higher areas.

Main roads stand out: Bugojno-Novi Travnik (Rostovo), Sarajevo-Kladanj (Nišići and Karaula), Sarajevo-Konjic (Ivan Sedlo), Prozor-Gornji Vakuf (Makljen) and Bugojno-Kupres-Šujica .
 
Due to low morning temperatures in lower areas as well as on shaded parts of roads in higher areas, on bridges and tunnel approaches, drivers are warned of icy roads. Drivers are urged to drive with maximum caution and to adjust their driving to current road conditions. They are also warned of frequent rock and earth slides on the road. 
 
On the A-1 motorway, traffic is using the passing lane on the Sarajevo west-Lepenica section due to an active landslide at the Ban Brdo site. 
 
Due to activated landslides, the traffic regime has also been changed on the M-16 main road Banja Luka-Crna Rijeka (at the Gornji Šeher site), as well as on regional roads R-441 Banja Luka-Turbe (Ljubačevo) and R-454a Bratunac-Drinjača.
 
Traffic is using one lane on the M-14.2 main road Resanovci-Drvar, due to the collapse of a retaining wall.
 
Drivers are warned of frequent rock and earth slides on the road, with sections Jablanica-Prozor, Jajce-Banja Luka and Sarajevo-Foča particularly highlighted. Drivers are urged to drive with maximum caution, adjusted to road conditions.
 
At border crossings, waiting times are no longer than 30 minutes, BIHAMK announced.
