Collection for adaptation of the female department of Gazi Husrev-beg's Madrasa on Friday: Our support for this project is necessary

(Patria) - In all mosques in Bosnia and Herzegovina on Friday, December 29, after the Friday prayer, a collection will be organized to support the project of reconstruction, expansion and adaptation of the facilities of the female department of Gazi Husrev-beg's Madrasa in Sarajevo.

The beginning of this project was officially marked at the end of November 2022, and the completion of the works will depend on the dynamics of collecting the remaining necessary funds. On this occasion, the Deputy of the Reis-ul-Ulema of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Enes Ljevaković, issued an invitation to the faithful to be part of "an inexhaustible good for the future of Muslims and the Islamic Community."

We convey the message of the Deputy of the Reis-ul-Ulema in its entirety:

"Dear brothers and respected sisters, members and adherents of the Islamic Community! The Merciful Allah calls us to continuously confirm our faith through good deeds, to be champions, leaders and avant-garde in goodness: 'Each one turns towards his own qibla, so strive to outdo each other in good deeds' (Al-Baqarah, 146).

Gazi Husrev-beg's Madrasa is one of the most important educational institutions of our people. From Gazi Husrev-beg's Madrasa, from that fertile nursery of upbringing and enlightenment, a large number of ulema, comprehensively educated and socially active mothers and sisters have emerged. Many of them later became respected qadis, muftis, muderrises, distinguished professors and teachers, intellectuals and enlighteners.

A unique opportunity and a believer's obligation has presented itself to us to jointly participate in an inexhaustible good for the future of Muslims and the Islamic Community.

Works are underway on the reconstruction, expansion, and adaptation of the building of the female department of Gazi Husrev-beg's Madrasa. Our support for this project is necessary.

We invite you, through your contributions and material support for this monumental project, to enable better conditions and higher quality education for the valuable students of Gazi Husrev-beg's Madrasa.
