Heavy rainfall on Friday, orange warning issued for the entire BiH area

The Federal Hydrometeorological Institute warns of heavy rainfall in the afternoon hours on Friday, February 24. In lowlands, rain and sleet are expected, while in the mountains snow could accumulate up to 50 cm.

Due to the heavy rainfall expected on Friday, the Federal Hydrometeorological Institute has issued an orange warning for the entire area of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Expected precipitation amounts in Herzegovina and the western part of Bosnia are 30 to 70 liters per square meter. In most of BiH, 20 to 50 liters per square meter are expected. During the night from Friday to Saturday, rain will turn into sleet due to the drop in temperature.

The orange warning will be in effect until six o'clock the following day, NAP reports.
