28 surgeries performed at General Hospital yesterday

(Patria) - In the past 24 hours, one patient was admitted to the Covid department of the General Hospital "Prim. dr. Abdulah Nakaš", and two were discharged home. Five patients are in intensive care. This morning's total number of hospitalized patients in the Covid department is 48.

- Following the morning briefing of the General Hospital's Covid team, prim. dr. Ednan Drljević, head of the Infectious Diseases Department, gave a lecture on the treatment of infections caused by resistant bacteria in patients treated for Covid-19, and the use of inhalation medications for these patients - stated the General Hospital.

All patients treated for Covid-19 at the General Hospital can continue to monitor their health status at the "PostCovid" clinic, which has been established at this healthcare facility. This follow-up examination is scheduled by phone at: 033 285-221, in order to avoid crowds and large gatherings.

- Yesterday was a busy day in other departments of the General Hospital as well. At the Emergency Center, 90 patients were examined, of whom six were admitted to the hospital. A total of 40 patients were admitted to the hospital, while the same number were discharged. Yesterday, 28 surgeries were performed in the operating rooms, including eight emergency and 15 planned surgeries. Seven babies were born in the Gynecology and Obstetrics Department - according to the General Hospital.

A significant number of patients also sought specialist consultative healthcare yesterday. Thus, 101 patients were examined at the Orthopedics Clinic, 87 at the Nuclear Medicine Clinic, 70 at the Urology Clinic, 61 at the General Surgery Clinic, and 58 at the Obstetrics Clinic.

At the Neuropsychiatry Clinic, there were 28 patients, at the Gastroenterological Endoscopy Clinic 27, at the Dermatology Clinic 43, at the Pulmonology Clinic 24, at the Ophthalmology Clinic 23, and so on.

Yesterday, the Radiology Diagnostics Department performed 326 examinations and provided 527 services, while the Clinical Laboratory Department performed 150 examinations and 1,781 services.
