60 Covid patients in the General Hospital, one death

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - In the past 24 hours, five patients were admitted to the Covid ward of the General Hospital „Prim. dr. Abdulah Nakaš“, while six were discharged home. Five patients are in intensive care, two of whom are on ventilators. Unfortunately, there was one fatal outcome the previous day.

Eight patients were observed in the Covid triage clinic and are currently being transferred to the ward. The total number of hospitalized patients in the Covid ward of the General Hospital this morning is 60.

At the regular meeting of the Covid team as part of internal staff education, Dr. Ljiljana Salata, a specialist in infectious diseases, gave a lecture on the topic: „Epidemiological and clinical characteristics of Clostridioides infection“.

During yesterday, 43 patients were admitted to the non-Covid wards of the General Hospital, and 52 were discharged. 26 surgeries were performed, including 3 emergency, 19 scheduled, and 6 outpatient procedures. A total of 1,290 examinations were conducted, and nearly 5,000 services were provided.
