In Novi Grad Municipality, nearly 1,000 jobs created in two years: Mayor Efendić "We move forward"

Sarajevo's Novi Grad municipality has secured the most favorable financial lines in Bosnia and Herzegovina for businesses, which in the municipality governed by one of the youngest mayors in the country, Semir Efendić, has led to nearly 1,000 new jobs in just two years, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.

- For two years now, we have been implementing measures to support the economy with the aim of improving the business environment in this local community, announced the Public Relations Service of Novi Grad, as reported by NAP.

- During this period, intensive work was done on establishing communication and cooperation with businesses in the municipality, and it was precisely this communication that served as the basis for creating measures through which this municipality provided businesses operating in its area with the most favorable financial lines in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a profit margin of 1.99 percent. In addition, the Municipality financed the employment of interns, retraining for deficit occupations, worked on promoting the economy, invested in business infrastructure, and worked intensively and systematically on improving general business conditions.

From the Novi Grad Sarajevo Municipality, they state that thanks to great efforts, along with the fact that the Novi Grad Sarajevo Municipality is the most populous municipality in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and as such the most attractive and largest local market, positive economic trends have emerged, which has also reflected in a reduction in the number of unemployed persons in the municipality.

- According to data from statistical agencies, in the overall growth of employment in the Federation of BiH, the Novi Grad Sarajevo Municipality participates with eight percent, and this Municipality has recorded a positive effect in the overall growth trend of 18 percent compared to the Federation of BiH (creating new jobs and reducing unemployment).

The continuation of implementing measures to support the economy and employment is planned for this year as well, states the announcement from the Municipality, as reported by NAP.
