Olovo Mourns Tragedy in Ajdinovići

(Patria) - Today is a Day of Mourning in the municipality of Olovo due to the tragic death of 17-year-old Irhad Mehanović.

The Day of Mourning will be marked by lowering flags to half-mast at the Olovo Municipality building and at the buildings of public enterprises and institutions founded by the Municipality of Olovo, and other business entities in the area of the municipality of Olovo.

On the Day of Mourning, no public, cultural, or entertainment programs will be held in public places, and no music will be played in catering and other public facilities.

The decision to declare a Day of Mourning obliges the media in the municipality of Olovo to adapt their program content to the Day of Mourning.

The boy died tragically during a school trip at the Ajdinovići Sports and Recreation Center when, while playing football with his peers, he slipped and grabbed the goalpost.

Given that the goal was not secured, it fell on the 17-year-old, who was transferred to the KCUS on the same day, May 29th, where he underwent surgery. Unfortunately, despite the doctors' efforts, he passed away.
