As part of cooperation with the SFF, the latest world achievements will also come to Ilidža

This year, the Ilidža Municipality has made an effort to provide its citizens with at least a part of the atmosphere that prevails during the Sarajevo Film Festival in the capital. The latest world achievements will also come to Ilidža, and the residents of Ilidža will have the opportunity to enjoy screenings of the best films that regional and world cinematography offers to audiences around the world. Everything is ready for the former Igman cinema to become a meeting place for film lovers. Visitors will enjoy screenings of the latest films, with special attention to be paid to children's films. The program of the 23rd SFF in Ilidža begins on Saturday, August 12, 2017, and 12 films will be shown, six of which are for children.

The cooperation of the Igman cinema with the SFF is the culmination of the efforts of the Ilidža Municipality, which purchased a cinema projector worth 124,875.47 KM, installed in the Igman cinema building by the domestic company IMTEC Solutions. We remind you that the agreement regulating mutual rights and obligations regarding the use of the cinema projection system was signed on May 23, 2017, in the Ilidža Municipality.

- These are good news for all residents of Ilidža, because after many years, Ilidža is getting a cinema again. I hope that our citizens and all tourists who come will be part of the story and enjoy Ilidža. We expect this positive novelty to win the sympathies of our citizens and that lovers of the seventh art will truly enjoy it - said the Mayor of Ilidža Municipality, Prof. Dr. Senaid Memić.

In addition to the growing need of citizens for cultural events, due to the accelerated development of tourism in the Ilidža area, the need for investment in such a project seems additionally justified.

- We thank the Municipality and the Mayor for their understanding and for providing the funds for this equipment. The Public Institution KSiRC will organize commercial screenings according to the price list to be adopted by the Management Board of the Public Institution KSiRC, with the consent of the Mayor, while simultaneously respecting all laws regulating this area - said Director Kulović.

Tickets for the film screenings from the SFF that will be shown at the Igman cinema can be purchased at the box office at prices of 3 KM for children and 5 KM for adults.

- We have fully equipped the cinema hall with audio and video systems in accordance with the highest standards. We are especially pleased with the satisfaction of the investor and the words of praise we received. We used the highest quality brands when it comes to this cinema hall, installed a fixed cinema screen measuring 9m x 5m in accordance with standards, and also set up a projection booth with the necessary equipment so that the entire system can be managed from one place - said representatives of IMTEC Solutions.

The equipment also enables 3D projections, given that a silver screen was used, and a large number of 3D glasses for such projections were delivered. In addition, with the Igman cinema, conditions have been created for including film screenings for students from schools in the Ilidža municipality area for educational purposes, making this investment even more significant.
