More than 18,000 KM collected so far within the "I Run for Someone with Autism" campaign

(Patria) - Over 150 male and female runners decided on April 20 to run the Heineken 0.0 5K Spring Run in blue t-shirts as participants of the "I Run for Someone with Autism" campaign. The blue runners collected donations for the education of 116 children with developmental disorders and difficulties attending the EDUS program through early intervention, preschool, and school programs by selling their kilometers.
Thanks to all participants, over 18,000 KM have been collected so far, while the final amount will be announced after all payments are received.

Due to the large number of inquiries and upcoming holidays, the EDUS - EDUCATION FOR ALL Association announces that the deadline for donating from sold kilometers has been extended until Tuesday, May 7, 2019. 

Payments can be made to: 161 000 008 967 04 97 (Raiffeisen Bank BiH); payment purpose: Donation for the race.

To thank the blue runners and all kilometer buyers for their selfless commitment, effort, and engagement, the EDUS-EDUCATION FOR ALL Association is organizing a joint gathering, which will be held on Sunday, May 12, 2019, starting at 10:00 AM, in the parking lot in front of Velika aleja (Ilidža, Vrelo Bosne) as part of the Marathon Association's Park Run training.

"This year again, runners have shown goodwill and big hearts to support our work and the education of children in the EDUS program. Through socializing with food and refreshments, we want to show our gratitude to everyone who helped make this noble action a success, and we invite everyone who participated in the "I Run for Someone with Autism" campaign, either as runners or kilometer buyers, to join us," said Nirvana Pištoljević, Executive Director of the EDUS-Education for All Association.

Erol Mujanović, Director of the Marathon Association, said he is happy that the "I Run for Someone with Autism" campaign had a great response this year.

"We are truly pleased that our running projects have a great response in the community and that they provide an opportunity for runners, in addition to investing in their own health and fitness, to help the most vulnerable groups in our country," Mujanović emphasized.

The "I Run for Someone with Autism" campaign was realized with the support of the Australian Embassy in Vienna, as well as over 1000 well-intentioned individuals who participated as blue runners or buyers of their kilometers for the education of children with developmental disorders and difficulties.
