Children to start attending the renovated "Pčelica" kindergarten on September 8th

The renovation of the "Pčelica" kindergarten in Sarajevo's Old Town Municipality, which began in early August, is nearing completion, with operations planned to resume on September 8th due to final works on the kindergarten's roof structure, writes the BH News Agency Patria.

We remind you that after heavy rainfall in May, children were evacuated and placed in the substitute kindergarten "Biseri" because "Pčelica" was significantly damaged and unfit for children to stay in. The parents of 55 children attending the kindergarten organized themselves and appealed for the renovation of the kindergarten so that the children would finally have normal conditions. The Old Town Municipality allocated KM 20,000, and the total value of the reconstruction of the two-story building is around KM 126,000. Incidentally, out of 28 facilities managed by the Public Institution "Djeca Sarajeva" (Children of Sarajevo), this kindergarten was in the worst condition.

The renovation included the roof structure, replacement of external facade carpentry, renovation of sanitary facilities, adaptation of the kitchen, dining room, and entrance hall and doors, writes Patria.
