Daylight saving time ends on Sunday, clocks to be turned back from 3 to 2

(Patria) - The Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Policy informs the public that, in accordance with the Law on Time Calculation (“Official Gazette of the Federation of BiH”, Nos. 24/97 and 50/03), daylight saving time will end on the last Sunday of October, 27 October 2024. On that day, by moving one hour back, the time at 3 hours 00 min 00 sec will be considered as 2 hours 00 min 00 sec.

Given the upcoming changes in daylight and working conditions, the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Policy calls on employers to ensure the safety of workers in all work environments, both outdoors and indoors. 

We particularly emphasise the importance of additional attention to lighting and safety measures in indoor spaces, as well as the protection of workers from cold and other potential risks during outdoor work.

The Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Policy calls on all employers to recognise their responsibility for the safety of workers and to adapt working conditions with the aim of improving the work environment and protecting the health of employees.
