Traffic regime change in Sarajevo on Sunday due to Run Fest 2025

(Patria) - NGO Marathon and MUP KS inform citizens that on Sunday, September 21, 2025, between 07:30 and 12:00, there will be a temporary change in the traffic regime due to the holding of the international sports event Sarajevo Run Fest 2025.

Traffic will be suspended in the following streets:

Start and finish: Marijin Dvor, area in front of Crvena jabuka

Route: Zmaja od Bosne – Bulevar Meše Selimovića – Malta – Azize Šaćirbegović – Vilsonovo šetalište – Ložionička – Topal Osman-paše – Zvornička (Bulevar Ivice Osima) – Grbavička – Zagrebačka – Vrbanja – Franca Lehara.

Also, between 04:30 and 13:30, traffic and parking will not be possible in Franje Račkog and Franca Lehara streets.

During the race, police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton will be deployed at key points of the route to regulate traffic and enable normalization of traffic immediately after the participants pass. In agreement with the competent services, flexible and phased measures are foreseen to maintain maximum vehicle flow wherever possible. Thanks to good coordination with the MUP, traffic is expected to be normalized immediately after the last runners pass.

NGO Marathon specifically emphasizes that the start of the event this year has been moved 30 minutes earlier compared to previous years, precisely so that the Festival ends earlier and has as little impact as possible on the daily lives of citizens.

Organizers ask citizens moving in the Vilsonovo šetalište zone to use only the sidewalk to ensure the safety of all participants and the smooth running of the event.

Sarajevo Run Fest 2025 will gather more than 2500 runners, recreational athletes, children, families, and visitors from 52 countries and bring a spirit of sport, unity, and inclusivity to the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina. NGO Marathon invites all citizens to make this event a memorable celebration of sport and unity with their presence and support, and to showcase Sarajevo in its best light.
