In the next 30 days, the fate of Dodik's referendum will be known

The Council for the Protection of Vital Interest, operating within the Constitutional Court of Republika Srpska, will determine whether the vital national interest of Bosniaks has been jeopardized after the National Assembly of Republika Srpska approved the holding of a referendum on the BiH Court and Prosecutor's Office a few weeks ago, which is supposed to be held in RS by the end of this year.

The Council will make a decision within 30 days, writes the news agency Patria.

The Club of Delegates of the Bosniak People in the Council of Peoples of RS vetoed the controversial referendum, after which the Constitutional Court of RS will comment on the matter. Bosniak delegates in the Council of Peoples of RS said they do not expect much from the Constitutional Court of RS, based on past experiences, but if the Court in RS rejects their request to prevent the referendum, they will appeal to higher authorities in the country.

The National Assembly of Republika Srpska adopted the decision to call a referendum on the BiH Court and Prosecutor's Office on July 15.

According to the decision, the referendum question reads: "Do you support the unconstitutional and unauthorized imposition of laws by the High Representative of the international community in BiH, especially the imposed laws on the BiH Court and Prosecutor's Office and the application of their decisions in the territory of Republika Srpska?"

The referendum question was initiated by the President of RS, Milorad Dodik, which caused great dissatisfaction not only among Bosniak politicians but also among the international community, writes NAP.
