Traditional jumps from the Old Bridge in Mostar

(Patria) - Traditional jumps from the Old Bridge in Mostar, the 457th in a row, will be held today starting at 4 PM, with jumpers from across the region expected, who have been following the Mostar jumps for many years.

The final number of jumpers will be known around 1 PM after a medical examination. Competitors will jump in two disciplines - feet first and 'swallow dive'.

Today in Mostar, jumpers from Mostar and Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as from Serbia, Montenegro, Croatia, and Slovenia, will showcase their skills.

The delegate for this year's jumps is the actor from the National Theatre Sarajevo, Aleksandar Seksan, and the president of the expert jury is Alica Jakirović.

Members of the expert jury are veteran jumpers, winners of numerous awards, including Irfan Milavić, Samir Zukanović, Semir Drocić, and Branko Bogićević.

"The rules are known, all jumpers will perform two series of jumps, and the most important thing is that the jumps are completed without injuries," said Jakirović.

Lorens Listo, the club president and a multiple champion in headfirst dives, who has stood on the winner's podium 13 times, particularly highlighted the fact that Mostar has a new 'swallow diver', Ahmet Stupac.

Several thousand spectators are expected on the banks of the Neretva River.
