(Patria) - Advisor to the Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of BiH, Mate Lončar, addressed the ceremony for the promotion of 98 cadets of the BiH Border Police in Mostar today, who were promoted to the rank of police officer after successfully completing their training at the Agency for Education and Professional Training of Personnel.
Lončar welcomed the participants of the event, emphasizing the importance of the decision of a large number of young people to join the police service, which proves their readiness to protect the borders of BiH and every resident of this country.
- The joint efforts we are making to strengthen border security must continue, and after we complete the ongoing negotiations with FRONTEX, I am sure that we will perform this part in an even higher quality manner with the help of our friends from the EU - Lončar said.
He added that the result of dedicated work will significantly strengthen the security system of Bosnia and Herzegovina's borders, especially due to the current migration challenges that BiH is facing.
- Today, 98 new cadets are entering service, and it is particularly encouraging that this is the 19th generation, which is an undeniable proof of the continuity and success of improving police professionalism through training and professional development, which greatly contributes to improving the capacity of police agencies - Lončar said.
